A terraced house in Sheffield was destroyed in a gas explosion and investigators subsequently found that of 20 houses in the same street, five were stealing gas and two were stealing electricity.
Meter cheating means tampering with the meter so it doesn’t record how much electricity or gas is being used or trying to bypass the meter completely.
